I’ve been thinking that we need a “blog central” from which we could keep track of all the items that are going up and where we could decide which information might be best in which blog. Also we can post new blogs here so that we can keep up on the growing website and generally communicate without having to write a pile of emails which one then transfers on to another.
So we’ll see if this makes sense or not.

I am very much enjoying the infomation I see on this website. I am a descendent of Virginie Coulombe, aho was Marie Coulombe’s sister. She also married a King. Jean Baptiste (not related to Xavier). I know this is a positive connection as The very same picture of the King House is in a a book my mother kept of her trip to Ny in 1915! So, it was a delight to find this site

Glad to hear from you. I’ve been looking for the identity of John King for some time, to see if he was in any way related to Sullivan and Xavier. Do you know anything about him or about William King? There were business associations between the different Kings… land sales. At one point William owned property next to Sullivan, property that Chazy Lakers know as the Barber house.

I don’t believe I’ve run into a William. John King’s father was Auguste Eustache Roy King married to a Melanie Normandin June 13 1825 in St Cyprien, Napierville, Quebec both came to Clinton County.I have my Jean Baptiste m to Virginie Coulombe around 1850, a Prosper King, Lucy King, Joseph King, Francis King all children of Eustache and Melanie. They go back to Nicolas Roy b.1639. Jean Baptiste marries Virginie Coulombe around 1850.They have 12 children. One is Marie Josephine who marries a Thomas Tierney that I,ve yet to locate, but I see him as bearer in one of your obits. Another is Laura who marries Charles Bessette, can’t find his info either. Francis (Frank)King is my grandfather married to Phoebe(Flavia)Amnot of Keeseville, Frank is from Saranac. They move to Massachussetts and then New Hampshire. My mother was Eva Dora King married a William Ryan. They had 7 children and I am the youngest of those and married to a Lambert. I have been doing some research for a few years and find it exciting, but a lot of work, so I can appreciate all you have done.I live in Nashua NH one Street Away from Alexander Coulombes home. His son Joseph was married to Helen Amnot my grandmother’s sister. I see Alexander and Catherine’s obits there, also. There are some Dubray’s and Barber amd Gaudreau relatives here, too.
Pictures of the Coloumbes would be wonderful to see.Is your cousin Don also a King?
